Westbourne Rotary has the tag line ‘the club with attitude’ and although I was not sure of this tag line when I first heard it, I realised it suited our club to a tee and it is one of the positives I would like to carry on in my year as president.

I was introduced to Rotary when I was 21 and although supported them never found myself wanting to join.  This changed when my wife, Wendy, 21 years on suggested that I should give Westbourne ago as they have a really great out look on life and community. Well that was 21 months ago and I can happily say that fellowship you have all shown me has meant I haven’t looked back.

I think it is worth while explaining that my coming year as president is not going to be ground breaking but more consolidation and building on the foundations built by the past 3 presidents.

Over the last three years we have achieved some amazing results from projects and had some projects that well just crocused. We plan to build on the fun and fellowship that Rotary brings to its members whilst making a difference to so many people’s lives from its charitable work.
